Best Flight Tracker plus….. on the web
If you fly, and most of us do at some point, here is the BEST and certainly nearly indispensable web site that I have found in a long time.
Ok so you what is so special about a flight tracker site, there are several on the web?
First, the basic tracker site is really user friendly. All you need to specify is airline, starting point and ending point. The data boxes have selection pull downs so don’t have to spell out or remember/ lookup airport codes. With this little info you get a list of flights to select. Once selected you get a nice visual of the flight over a Google map. Nice and worth bookmarking but here is some real power.
How about planning your trip to avoid flights that are always late! Use the flight ratings feature and check the historical ontime performance for all flights between two airports!
These are only 2 items I have quickly found at this site!
Finally, if you use Googlebar or Windows Live Toolbar, all of this and more is one click away! For example, want to check delay history for Philly to Chicago. Type in “phl to ord” and click a toolbar button. “aa 1241” tracks this flight with 1 click. “aa scorecard” and a click gives you American’s on-time performance for today!
Ok, I’ll quit but this is really a great site.
