Old Farm House

This my first attempt at a “real” watercolor. This painting is based on a lesson in a watercolor textbook. As with most of these first attempts; somethings worked, some didn’t. I like the sky pretty well. But in general the colors aren’t strong enough. I was too tentative with pigments. Also I am just beginning to understand how the eye is fooled by “warm” colors in the foreground and “cool” colors in the background. I suppose the illusion of depth, in general, is the real talent. Well I hope you enjoy my attempts, more to come.
